Legal information
This page describes the terms and policies governing the use of NSATS Mail. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms and the policies referenced on this page.
Terms and policies
Service terms, privacy principles, acceptable use, and related disclosures.
1. Definitions
- NSATS Mail: the email service operated under the NSATS brand.
- User: any individual or entity accessing the service.
- Service: mailbox access, storage, security controls, and supporting infrastructure.
- Content: email messages, attachments, and related mailbox data.
- Account: an authenticated mailbox identity used to access the service.
2. Service terms
NSATS Mail is provided as a subscription-based email service. Use of the service is subject to these terms, applicable law, and any referenced policies.
- The service may be updated, modified, or maintained to preserve security, reliability, and compliance.
- NSATS may suspend or restrict access where required for abuse prevention, security response, or legal obligations.
- Enterprise deployments may be governed by written agreements that supplement or replace portions of these terms.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and renewal
Plans are offered for defined subscription terms. Charges are processed at the start of each billing term, and renewals may occur for the selected term unless cancelled prior to renewal.
- Pricing is per account unless otherwise agreed under enterprise arrangements.
- Service access remains active while a subscription is in force.
- For procurement workflows, invoicing, or consolidated billing, contact NSATS for enterprise terms.
4. Privacy principles
NSATS processes operational data to provide, secure, and protect the service. Access to NSATS Mail is protected using SSL/TLS encrypted connections to secure traffic in transit.
- NSATS does not sell user data.
- NSATS does not use mailbox content for unrelated advertising purposes.
- Operational processing may include abuse prevention, service reliability, and security monitoring.
5. Security scope
NSATS Mail implements layered security controls intended to reduce risk associated with account access, impersonation, spoofing, and service abuse.
- In-transit protection: SSL/TLS encrypted connections protect access traffic between devices and NSATS systems.
- Sender authentication: DKIM/DMARC support domain-based verification to reduce spoofing and impersonation attempts.
- Operational controls: monitoring and enforcement are applied to reduce abusive sending and automated misuse.
- Post-quantum security architecture: the design supports adoption of cryptographic methods as standards evolve.
6. Storage policy
Unlimited storage applies to retained email and attachments. No fair-use limitation is applied to mailbox capacity or retention. This policy applies to storage only and does not relax acceptable-use requirements for sending behavior.
- Storage is not enforced through quotas or forced deletion mechanisms.
- Anti-abuse and platform integrity controls remain in force for sending activity.
- NSATS may take action where stored content is unlawful or where retention is required to respond to legal obligations.
7. Acceptable use
Users must not use the service for unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity. Prohibited use includes:
- Unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, or abusive automated sending.
- Fraud, impersonation, deceptive activity, or identity misrepresentation.
- Malware distribution, phishing, or attempts to compromise systems or users.
- Abuse of infrastructure, including denial-of-service behavior or evasion of enforcement controls.
Violations may result in restriction, suspension, or termination of accounts and associated access, with or without notice where permitted by law.
8. User responsibilities
Users are responsible for maintaining account security and for ensuring devices used to access NSATS Mail remain protected.
- Maintain strong authentication credentials and protect account access information.
- Maintain device security, including patching and malware protection.
- Comply with applicable laws and organizational policies related to email usage and data handling.
9. Availability, maintenance, and changes
NSATS aims to operate a reliable service; however, availability may be impacted by maintenance, incident response, upstream dependencies, or factors outside reasonable control.
- Maintenance may be scheduled or emergency-driven for security and reliability.
- Service features and controls may evolve over time, including cryptographic transitions.
- Where material changes are required, NSATS may provide notice through service communications when feasible.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NSATS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of the service.
- NSATS is not responsible for losses caused by user credential compromise, insecure endpoints, or third-party client behavior.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Termination
NSATS may restrict or terminate access where required to enforce acceptable use, respond to security incidents, comply with legal obligations, or address non-payment.
- Users may discontinue use by cancelling subscriptions and ceasing access.
- Where permitted, NSATS may retain limited records to meet legal, security, or compliance requirements.
